WHAT KIND OF SERVICE PROJECTS WILL STUDENTS BE INVOLVED IN?

Throughout the week, students will engage in a variety of service projects. These take place at local organizations or homes and can include: cleaning, painting, light construction, visiting with the elderly/lonely, yard work, playing with young children, leading a Vacation Bible School in the community, or assisting those with disabilities.

WILL ALL THE STUDENTS FROM OUR CHURCH BE TOGETHER ON A WORK TEAM?

No. A typical work team is comprised of 8-12 students and 2 adult team leaders- all from a variety of churches. We do our best to make sure students have at least one other person from their church on their team.

WHAT IF THERE IS SOMEONE THE STUDENT REALLY WANTS TO BE WITH ON A WORK TEAM?

We do allow students or their parents to make requests regarding pairings on the student registration form. We also get input from the Youth Pastors/Directors regarding pairings. While we do our best to accommodate these, we do not guarantee that all requests will be honored. There are a lot of moving parts and factors involved in creating the work teams.
